The inspiration behind this piece was vibrant primary colors. It was constructed entirely of paper collage from vintage maps, sailing charts, watercolor paper, envelops, and paper ephemera. I then layered acrylic paint over some of the bars to create interest. The paper collage is still visible through the paint to create depth. The goal was to achieve a balance and rhythm pleasing to the eye.
